Music Arrangement, everything started with a Story of Dream Chasing…

My journey in music arranging began back in middle school, when I dreamed of starting a string ensemble at my school. Determined to make it happen, I gathered a group of classmates and took the initiative to create and lead a brand-new ensemble.

At that time, the internet wasn’t as accessible, and our school offered no funding for the group. Finding music was a challenge, so to save costs I began hand-writing my own arrangements. What started as a necessity soon became a skill that proved invaluable later in life—especially when I became a cello teacher and needed to arrange music tailored to my students.

After moving to the USA, I had the privilege of meeting many professional cellists. I began arranging not only for them but also for my own performances, and over time I realized that transcribing and arranging music could be a powerful way to expand the cello repertoire.

Today, I continue to arrange actively for organizations such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra youth program, Texas Cellos/Texas Cello School, and the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra. I also enjoy sharing some of my arrangements here for others to play and enjoy.

I hold firmly to the value of authenticity—whether in my faith or in music performance. All of my arrangements are rooted in the original text, staying as close to the Urtext as possible while incorporating thoughtful interpretations that bring out the best for cello.

If you ever come across music you feel would work beautifully on cello, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am happy to create solos or ensemble arrangements based on your ideas. And if you notice any mistakes in my scores, I truly welcome your feedback—I will gladly provide corrected versions.

All arrangements shared here are available in PDF format, ready to print. Thank you for your support, and I hope these pieces bring joy as we continue this journey of musical discovery together.

Cheers,
Emmanuel
